We have a great opportunity for a Subsidy Manager to join our growing company!
This a new position that is responsible for developing and executing processes to support childcare subsidy payments across multiple states and developing and coordinating activities for assigned centers with childcare assistance programs ensuring compliance with federal, state and local agencies and company policies and procedures. The Subsidy Manager has the unique opportunity to establish systems and procedures to create efficiencies in managing subsidy processes. This position provides and role models exemplary customer service to field operations, corporate and government agencies.
This is a remote position that can be located in NC, VA, KY, GA, AL, FL, AR, OK, TX, or AZ.

Responsibilities
- S trong and experienced leader who can motivate and inspire direct and indirect reports to achieve state d goals
- E xecute fiscal operations, have good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well with internal and external teams
- E ffectively develop s strateg ies and drive change to achieve goals
- Has experience working with remote employees and can organize and prioritize while providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to train school teams on all subsidy billing items
- Ability to create strong processes for self and school teams to efficiently manage subsidy authorization, billing, attendance and payment
- Ability to build relationships quickly with agencies and school teams
- Oversees the completion of agency contracts; obtains and reviews all agency requirements
- Develops processes to include:
- Review of attendance documents and completes billing process es
- Reconciles payments to accounts receivable
- C ompletes AR adjustments
- A ddresses re-bill and/or refund opportunities
- Prepares and distributes reports, monitors for unusual items and resolves and/or escalates issues as appropriate.
- Prepares audit documentation and reports notifications of agency audit s
- R esponsible for:
- Maintain ing and stor ing subsidy records in accordance with agency guidelines and company policies and procedures
- Builds effective relationships with internal and external partners, including field operations and childcare agencies
- Maintains customer focus and participates in center director and agency meetings
- Facilitates meetings and trainings with field operations, peers and agencies on subsidy processes including new Center Director on-boarding
- Other related duties as assigned

Requirements
- High School diploma required
- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree preferred
- 3-5 years' experience processing state subsidy payments in a childcare organization
- Has a broad knowledgebase of the subsidy process and is able to apply that knowledge across multiple states.
- Strong computer skills covering financial systems and general office software, including MS Office and email
- Demonstrated skills in customer service and professionalism
- Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution and collaboration
- Professional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to foster open dialogue
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple teams
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills ; and the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Ability to process a high volume of students and/or centers based on prior subsidy experience and agency requirements
- Must be able to travel between alternate center and office locations on occasion
- Must be able to withstand long periods of sitting and frequent use of computer and telephone
