Founded in 1988, Child Development Schools is headquartered in Austin, TX operating over 260 childcare centers in 11 states. Our three early childhood education brands are Childcare Network, Sunrise Preschools, and My Small Wonders. We proudly provide quality care and developmental education to over 30,000 children aged six weeks to twelve years.

We have a great opportunity for a Region Director to join our growing company!

The Georiga Region Director is responsible for crafting strategic initiatives to deliver results as outlined in the CDS performance pillars with the assigned region. Achieving region initiatives through successful leadership and partnership with district managers, and cross functional business partners.

This position will be located in Georgia.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership of diverse teams, personalities, and expectations across multiple states. Demonstrated ability to acquire, influence, develop, coach, performance manage, and retain best in class talent.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution. Proven ability to demonstrate flexibility with changing priorities, situations that require rapid a response, and clearly communicate deadlines on related deliverables.
  • Financial Acumen - business case development and advocation for budgetary needs, tools, resources, and other factors to meet business targets.
  • Strong sense of urgency while remaining emotionally regulated in high pressure situations.
  • Ability to individually problem solve and help District Managers problem solve - by aligning with organizational policies/procedures, utilizing analytical reasoning skills, and leveraging cross-functional business partners.
  • Proven ability to prioritize duties and responsibilities on tight deadlines.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with state regulatory agencies, subsidy agencies, new and existing vendors, and organizational sponsors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in early childhood education management, with at least 7-10 years in a multi-site management role.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, licensing regulations, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and meet financial targets.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Solid training and coaching skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving and planning skills.
  • Complete and thorough understanding of Microsoft Office and other relevant office software
  • High degree of industry knowledge in areas such as systems and technology design, process improvement, operations management, etc.
  • Knowledge of State licensing requirements in all states in assigned region.
  • Ability to travel 70% as required
